Few months back, my email id's were flooded with spam e-mails everyday. Each day I received 5-10 spam mails in each of the Id. My email ID's started getting spam . The condition was growing worse..I was wondering how can I stop receiving Spam e-mails?

I started researching on this and here is what I concluded since then.

1. Never place your e-mail address on your website as user@domain.com. Instead write it as user (at) domain (dot) com. The spammers use special softwares to detect your e-mail address in your website and send you all kinds of spam stuffs. 

2. Reporting an E-mail as SPAM is another option. 

3. Spammers also send spam mails for selected website by randomly selecting the inbox name of your website e.g support@domainname.com. This is very common name and exists in many websites. So, turn off your web hosting re-directs as it will decrease the amount of spam mails in your inbox. 

4. You need to unsubscribe newsletters and subscriptions. Also see if there is a link at the bottom of emails with "UNSUBSCRIBE" link. This will stop your id from getting bulk and spam mails. Do not ever give your suspicious web sites. This is how you can keep your inbox clean and away from spam.
