Here's an interesting video on Marketing Strategies (and it's not from Youtube) that I'd like to share with everyone here. This is presented by the CMO of Dell, Mark Jarvis. But who's Dell to tell us about marketing, afterall, they don't create the kind of buzz like Google, Facebook or Apple.
But check this out, Dell website generates 16 billion in sales last year. Their website brings in more sales than sites like Amazon or Ebay! They are the #1 e-commerce site in the world.
Here are some information about what I found from watching this video. The world's internet population is bound to double in just 3 year. Currently, we spend 5% of our internet time on searching on Google. 15% of our web time on ecommerce stuffs like on Amazon or shopping sites. A third of our time on communicating using e-mail or msn. And half the time of it or 47% on content creation such as blogging, participating on forums, writing comments, etc.
What's even more interesting is when Mike Jarvis, the marketing head at Dell, lays out a 5 point strategy to be successful in Internet marketing.
