What to know about Google’s Top 10 Search Engine List?

Google’s Top 10 Search Engine List.

Well, I have got this list out my experimentation with Google Search.

a). By typing [B]“Search Engine”[/B] in the search box, I got :
1. Altavista.com 2. search.msn.com 3. www.google.com 4. www.google.co.uk 5. a9.com 6. www.dogpile.com 7.www.hotbot.com 8. search.yahoo.com 9. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine 10. vivisimo.com

b).By typing [B]Search Engine[/B] (simply typing in search box), I got : 1. search.msn.com, 2. Altavista.com 3. www.google.com 4. www.google.co.uk 5. a9.com 6. www.dogpile.com 7.www.hotbot.com 8. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine 9.search.yahoo.com 10. vivisimo.com

So, now make you own list and post.

My search comes up with similar results but has no vivisimo.com or hotbot.

it's interesting such a search yields altavista as the top search engine. Altavista is, by the way, the engine behind Yahoo Search.

another interesting point, Google doesnt shows up in the first page at all! that's a sign of humility on their part perhaps!

I get Dogpile.com on the top. Surely, it's not the most popular or widely used search engine in the world. I also get Altavista. weird :)
