In order to send the Pay per click traffic, firstly create a landing page alond with your domain name, and then drive pay per click traffic there. It is always suggested as it is better to send people to the landing page first. Always make sure your landing page content accurately represents your ads. If you dont want to make any investments, then create a blog for free and send the traffic there.

Just keep trying new things. Try a new idea and measure your results. So if you create a new landing page, set up some google analytics to track. Look at some key metrics to measure your effectiveness. If it's not working, tweak and measure again. if it works, tweak and see if you can squeeze some improvements out of it :)
