Apple Mac struggles to increase PC market share

Apple captures 6.6% of US PC Market Share in first quarter of 2008. A 32% increase from last year.

Out of US, Apple still fails to crack acceptance. Its share is probably below 4%. I think its pricey PC and lack of software remains a concern.

So what it means for marketers and site designers, we don't have to worry about Safari web browser support...no yet!

A new version of Google?

Today I just received an Email where it mentions about a new version of google. I don't know whether it is part of googe itself.
It says....

"…If Google had a black screen, taking in account the huge number of page views, according to calculations, 750 mega watts/hour per year would be saved".

In short, Google created a black version of its search engine, called Blackle, with the exact same functions as the white version, but obviously with lower energy consumption: Help spread the word… use www.blackle.com What do you guys think?

According to a recent MarketingSherpa survey it shows that online ads get better ROI than text-link ads (aka Google Adwords).

Alexa Rankings have Changed!

For many marketers who rely on Alexa.com as a authority source for traffic and ranking...here's a bit of scribbled news. Alexa just announced they made some changes to their rankings etc. Here are some highlight of the changes

- They are relying on more sources to get reliable stats

- Long term graphs are gone (temporary)

- Old rankings are gone

Cheers!
